HR Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist company-wide wellness initiatives
- a. Assist with drafting and distributing employee wellness communications
- b. Assist with the design and implement wellness engagement activities
2. Provides support to Talent Specialist
- a. Recruiting - Administrates full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within multiple business units
- b. Provides support to corporate and field HR staff for recruitment and retention activities
- c. Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity and efficiency
3. Supports plant retention efforts by delivering quarterly recruiting, training and exit data
- d. Conducts exit interviews for plant locations as needed
- e. Delivers monthly exit interviews and new hire surveys to relevant plant teammates
- f. Assists with material planning and preparation for HR trainings, leadership trainings and manager trainings
4. Maintain GoSTTX/HR Portal for HR announcements, contacts and documents
5. Assist HR team with audit projects relating to benefits, wellness, payroll and recruiting
6. Manage employee service awards program
7. Provides administrative support and project management for company-wide engagement initiatives and HR projects
8. Document all Mexico travel
- a. Register travelers with the consulate
- b. File all documentation regarding travel to and from Mexico
9. Employee Discount Programs
- a. Maintain updated documentation of employee discount programs on GoSTTX
- b. Respond to employee inquiries regarding discount programs
10. Serve as back up for maintaining corporate and applicable plant building security database, including issuing/replacing badges and terminating building access through S2 and NTS
11. Serves as back-up for corporate receptionist
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work with a variety of software application programs, including UKG, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in computer
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to research, reason and effectively resolve problems
- Skill to organize and prioritize with minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in completing assignments which may include sensitive or confidential information
- Knowledge of corporate wellness laws, regulations, and trends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1-2 years of Human Resources experience. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people
