ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assists dispatcher and drivers in the task of providing daily service on the street.
  2. Assists the Operations Director in the training of new drivers and retrains drivers coming back from sick leave, or drivers who need training on a specific area of their duties.
  3. Works with the Operations Director in development of new routes and/or detours due to unforeseen changes.
  4. Conducts accident/incident investigation and conducts disciplinary meetings as needed.
  5. Tracks driver's absenteeism on a daily basis.
  6. Investigates customer service reports and takes appropriate action.
  7. Investigates or responds to incidents/accidents and complete reports for disciplinary action if necessary.
  8. Monitors on-time performance conducts special surveys required by governmental agencies.
  9. Conducts driver counseling sessions and disciplinary meetings as assigned.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.
  11. Must maintain a satisfactory level on work performance evaluations.

Candidates must have two years of experience as a bus operator. Candidates must also hold a valid State of Indiana Commercial Driver's license (CDL) class B with a passenger endorsement and maintain a good driving record.
