Position Overview:

Metal Mechanic completes the application of various types of metal necessary. Used but not limited to the following: piping containing long and short radius 90's, 45 degree elbows, t's, reducers, bevels, caps, and oversize's. Scaffold Builder completes the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes products.
  • Dismantling of existing connected and independent equipment.
  • Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
  • Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
  • Assist with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
  • Stainless steel process pipe TIG welding experience, a plus.
  • Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.

Training
