Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMain responsibilities:
As a Project Data Acquisition Specialist, you are to lead recordings for our Natural Driving KSS data collection project. This project consists of 4 to 5 hour natural drives with recording subjects where you will be responsible for the operation of the recording system and querying the subject for KSS values and other annotations. High priority on data quality, debugging collection systems, and ensuring data flow from beginning to end. You will be completing recordings that involve interfacing directly with study participants (scheduling, logistical coordination, meeting and directing participants, verifying, and capturing legal waivers and documentation, payments, etc.) The expected hours for this project are non-traditional hours 5pm to 1am.

This position is based on-site and in the collection vehicles. This role is not suited for working from home. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required.

Day-to-day operation:
• Use Smart Eye’s data collection tools to execute the natural driving data collection project.
• Maintain project tracking sheets, monitor key project metrics and provide project reports as required.
• Analyze project performance and take appropriate actions (with guidance from other Data Acquisition Specialists or Tech Lead or Director of Data Acquisition).
• Respond to participant needs.
• Set up payments for data collection participants.
• Follow data quality processes and take corrective measures as required.
• Provide training to data collection participants as required.
• Communicate with all stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner.
• Adapt to changing project needs and expectations. 
• Follow strict confidentiality protocol regulating the handling of project and participant details and other sensitive information.
• Be a proactive team member, contributing solutions and helping others as necessary.
• Support group members, work for a great group environment and act as a role model.

What we’re looking for:
• A technical educational background, BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience using windows and Linux operating systems.
• Previous data collection experience with participant-based projects. Driving or sleep study preferred.
• Safety driving experience. Comfortable with driving and being driven in collection vehicles.
• Comfortable in operating after hours with minimal support
