Inside Sales Representative

General Function of The Job: The primary focus of this position centers on the ability to communicate effectively. The key to success in this position is the ability to build professional relationships with customers as well as quick and timely relay of sales-related data such as price and delivery dates.

Essential Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner. Ability to build a strong rapport, establish trust and credibility with customers.

  • Strong phone communication skills are an imperative component of this role.

  • Responsible for processing customer orders and requests for quotations in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Working with the team to expedite orders to meet customer demands.

  • Assure satisfaction of both internal and external customers.

  • Responsible for identifying alternative solutions in the event the customer’s initial request cannot be met.

  • Cross reference competitors part numbers for customers.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a way that gets along with co-workers, customers, supervisors, and all other employees.

  • Required to answer basic applications questions for customers.

  • Facilitate customer returns and repairs - assign return authorization numbers according to procedure.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.
  • Epicor ERP system preferred but not required.

Working Hours:

  • Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Specific Skills:

Excellent communication skills, customer relations, organizational, computer and clerical skills.
