About the Role:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator with extensive hands-on experience in Redwood RMJ (Run My Job) to join our dynamic team. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering a hybrid work environment in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Redwood RMJ, ensuring the seamless orchestration and optimization of job scheduling across various company applications. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Redwood RMJ Administration: Oversee and ensure the effective operation of the Redwood RMJ solution, aiming for a unified job scheduling system across all company applications.
  • System Deployment & Maintenance: Manage the deployment and continuous upkeep of the Redwood RMJ tool, focusing on advanced automation to enhance reliability and productivity in complex operations.
  • Scalability & Growth: Design the system to scale with the company's growth, efficiently handling increased job loads and complex scheduling requirements.
  • Service & Governance: Develop and enforce clear service and governance guidelines for application owners, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application owners to understand their requirements and the full batch process, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Mentorship & Support: Mentor RMJ admins and offer 24/7 support for production issues related to the RMJ scheduler.
  • Incident Management: Monitor and resolve incidents reported in ServiceNow, documenting detailed root causes and corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Change Management: Maintain up-to-date RMJ documentation in ServiceNow, including Knowledge Articles. Follow change management procedures for updates and upgrades, participating in Change Advisory Board meetings for RMJ changes.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends in workload automation to ensure the company's scheduling system remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience deploying, managing, and supporting Redwood RMJ solutions, with at least 5 years in a team lead role.
  • Certifications: Redwood-RJM administrator certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms.
  • Preferred OS experience in Unix, Linux, Windows, and iSeries.
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Windows CMD/PS1, Unix, Linux, Web Services, SOAP, and REST.
  • API experience is preferred to assist in managing integrations with multiple systems.
