We are seeking dynamic thinkers who could be integral team members for our high-tech avionics’ products.


Role purpose (position scope):

Individuals at this level works under direct supervision.  They are responsible for entry-level engineering responsibilities. They use basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals within their degree program to complete project subtasks. It is typical that these individuals interact with internal customers and teams to complete tasks; however, may have limited exposure to customers.

 

Must be able to meet all minimum standards within 90 days.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging for avionics with a focus on manufacturability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and cost.
  • Directly supports personnel and the factory in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
  • Assesses architecture and hardware limitations in designs
  • Conducts thermal, modal, material, and structural analysis utilizing CFD/FEA software and supported by engineering calculations on new and legacy designs.
  • Defines/implements designs including 3D models and drawings in Solidworks.
  • Performs tolerance analyses and GD&T on designs.
  • Sets SMART objectives and deliver results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with other parties including but not limited to other engineering disciplines, the factory, suppliers, and customers.
  • Performs root cause analysis on failures and develops corrective preventive actions for in-service issues and records lessons learned to prevent recurrence in new designs.
  • Comply and uphold Canyon AeroConnect SHE policies and standards.
  • Comply with the Canyon AeroConnect Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Apply broad knowledge of one professional engineering discipline or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices

 

Level I – Entry (Inexperienced)

  • KNOWLEDGE – Limited use and/or application of basic technical principles, concepts and practices.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY – Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data. Applies prescriptive methodology to project tasks. May solve low complexity task issues using engineering knowledge, tools and principals.  May bring new engineering knowledge into the group from the educational process.
  • DISCRETION/LATITTUDE - Work is closely supervised.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s Degree (or the equivalent combination of education and experience) and no/little previous professional experience.
