Job Summary

Canyon Aeroconnect is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer I/II to join our team. As a key member of our software design engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing real-time embedded software for our products, including software defined radios, navigation & communication radios, airborne servers, audio products, and other similar products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement real-time embedded software for Canyon AeroConnect's products
  • Develop low-level drivers and real-time embedded applications
  • Develop customer-facing application software used to configure Canyon's avionics products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets requirements and is delivered on time
  • Work closely with the Software Design Engineering Manager to ensure software development aligns with company goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Strong software engineering skills, with experience in C/C++/C# and Python
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontrollers/microprocessors
  • Experience with device driver software development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) for audio and radio signal processing
  • Experience with bench equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and J-TAG debuggers
  • Experience with MS Windows application development in C#/WPF
  • Experience with mobile device application development (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux
