Mountain Alarm Fire and Security is currently hiring for a Service Technician in our Reno, Nevada branch.
**$5000 sign-on bonus included for experienced technicians
Position Summary:
Service Technicians are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on fire alarms, security alarms, CCTV, access control and many other low voltage systems. Technicians will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting service calls for commercial and residential customers
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed NFPA standards
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off-site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Has excellent attendance and punctuality
- Dress in appropriate attire
- Acts in a professional manner
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to work with small tools as assigned (i.screw driver, hammer, etc.)
- Ability to install, inspect, program, or service fire alarm, security systems, access control, CCTV or other relevant low voltage systems
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must read and speak English
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
Experience:
- 2+ years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation required.
