If you are eager to embark on a rewarding career with a nationally recognized industry leader, AmeriGas Propane is looking for a dynamic and service-oriented individual to fill the role of Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities

As a local Service Technician, you will be essential in the installation and maintenance of propane tanks for our clientele, ensuring top-notch safety and customer service standards. Your duties will include:

  • Safely operating a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along designated service routes.
  • Conducting repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential clients.
  • Installing new propane tanks and systems for various customers.
  • Performing Delivery Representative functions as needed, including the delivery of bulk or canister propane.
  • Executing all daily tasks safely by adhering to federal and state regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies.
  • Consistently utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Working 8 to 12-hour shifts based on fluctuating operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

The compensation for this position ranges from $31.50 to $32.50, depending on various factors such as skills, qualifications, and prior experience. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses or commissions.
