Summary:
The HR Recruiter will report to the HR director to oversee all processes, policies, and transactions regarding the authorization and management of talent outreach, acquisition, and employment performance/engagement initiatives for the organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish the HR team as a strategic partner in the acquisition of talent for positions with the highest vacancy and turnover rates. Additionally, the selected candidate will be tasked with collaborating with hiring managers throughout the organization to identify the most qualified candidates to fill vacancies.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective full-cycle recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for unique and significant roles.
- Post job openings and creatively generate a pipeline of qualified candidates for open positions using the most effective recruitment methods, resources, and strategies.
- Coordinate and attend Career Fairs to promote NAICA’s mission, build relationships with external partners, and attract talent.
- Promote HR and cultural programs and initiatives to drive enhanced employee satisfaction.
- Work closely with the HR team to develop annual goals and objectives.
- Establish and manage cross-functional partnerships with hiring managers and teams, anticipating organizational needs and providing guidance based on best practices.
- Proactively source and engage qualified candidates (active and passive) through talent platforms, job boards, networking events, internal databases, and employee referrals.
- Provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and feedback.
- Conduct reference calls, and coordinate with HR and hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make recommendations for data-driven enhancements.
- Represent the organization and HR team at professional outreach/networking events.
- Plan/coordinate career fairs and develop effective recruitment strategies for hard-to-recruit positions.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs, employee capacities, skills, and interests.
- Complete and manage ad hoc assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in recruitment and talent outreach.
- Fast learner with ability to independently execute instructions with great attention to detail and consistently produce positive results.
- ATS system experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication, and understands responding with urgency.
- Experience with creating and managing Diversity and Inclusion recruitment strategies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently to identify/recommend innovative ideas and solutions.
- Experience with LinkedIn Talent Solutions.
- Compliance expertise with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, and other labor regulations
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Desire to serve vulnerable populations and commitment to NAICA’s mission to prevent/combat homelessness in New York City.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel throughout NYC as needed for events and onsite assignments as needed.
