Job Title: Global Kids HR Assistant 

 

Location: 102 Madison Avenue, New York, NY  

 

About Us: Global Kids (GK) educates, inspires, and mobilizes youth to succeed in school, achieve postsecondary success, and act on critical issues facing their communities and the world. We are a seeking a detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and support our growing organization. 

The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Human Resources with various administrative and operational tasks. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the success of our team. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. 
  • Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate in the HRIS (BambooHR Database). 
  • Assist in tracking employee training progress and maintaining training records. (OCFS) 
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and coordinating training sessions. 
  • Assist in handling employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters. 
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events. 
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. 
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the HR department. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Knowledge of HR software and systems is a plus.

Salary/Benefits: This is a Part-time position and comes with an hourly wage of $18-21/hr, depending on experiences and qualifications.
