 Takiff Center Attendant - Early AM (5:15-8:30 AM) and Weekend Hours (7 AM-5 PM)


Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have the ability to work weekends.
  • Must be flexible/dependable to attend all scheduled shifts and training.
  • Be organized, thorough, and detail-orientated.
  • Possess the ability to solve problems or react appropriately to non-routine situations.
  • Maintain a valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interact directly with the public and other park district employees.
  • Provide forms and information to patrons when requested.
  • Accept registration forms/process payments as needed.
  • Answer phones and patron questions as needed, always providing exceptional customer service.
  • Accept drop-in program fees and ensure waivers are signed.
  • Coordinate and assist with facility rentals, special events, birthday parties, and room set-ups/breakdowns.
  • Assist with light custodial duties when necessary.
  • Perform routine walk-throughs of the fitness area and open gym.
  • Open and close the Takiff Center, Fitness Center, and Front Desk area.
  • Wash, dry, and fold fitness towels.
  • Swipe in patron membership cards for the fitness area.
  • Assist with cleaning fitness equipment.
  • Give fitness area tours and show patrons how to use all equipment correctly.
  • Follow all park district rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
