JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Administratorposition provides technical and administrative support for LAN, WAN, and SANenvironment; designs and configures network infrastructure for securityresiliency, maintains adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software inuse to maximize efficiency of the network utilization, provides writtendocuments and communication regarding daily monitoring, responsible for dailybackup monitoring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Offer technical expertise to improve network reliability and performance.
  2. Define hardware and software standards in collaboration with stakeholders.
  3. Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
  4. Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  5. Utilize strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  6. Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS& ABILITIES:
  1. Effective written and verbal communication.
  2. Ability to configure, install, and maintain company computers, networks, infrastructure and related hardware and software.
  3. Knowledge of computer and/or network systems, routing, security, applications, procedures and techniques.
  4. Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
  5. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
POSITION TYPE

The employee must beavailable to work 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and must work 40 hourseach week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job dutiesdemand.

TRAVEL

Occasional travel tovarious office locations is required, as well as attending conferences andtraining seminars.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in aprofessional office environment. This role routinely uses standard officeequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, mobile devices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  2. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  3. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PREFERRED EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Network Administration, or related fields.
  2. Three years relevant experience in network administration, network monitoring, and infrastructure management.
  3. Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CCNP
  4. Experience in the use and application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
