Job Overview

Salary: $20/hour+ DOQ

Position: Takiff Center Attendant - Early Morning and Weekend Shifts

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and available to work weekends.
  • Dependability and flexibility are crucial for attending scheduled shifts and training sessions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to effectively address problems or unexpected situations.
  • Must maintain a valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or be willing to obtain certification within three months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with the public and collaborate with other park district staff.
  • Provide necessary forms and information to visitors upon request.
  • Process registration forms and payments as required.
  • Respond to phone inquiries and patron questions, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Collect drop-in program fees and ensure all waivers are completed.
  • Assist in coordinating facility rentals, special events, birthday celebrations, and room arrangements.
  • Perform light cleaning duties as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the fitness area and open gym.
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures for the Takiff Center, Fitness Center, and Front Desk.
  • Handle the washing, drying, and folding of fitness towels.
  • Check in patron membership cards for access to the fitness area.
  • Support the cleaning of fitness equipment.
  • Provide tours of the fitness area and demonstrate proper equipment usage.
  • Adhere to all park district rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
