Job Title: Production Technician Department: Production

FLSA: Non-exempt Status: Full Time

Reports to: Operations Manager

Customary Days: Schedule varies

Customary Hours: 40 hours per week; hours may be extended when workload is increased

Position Summary

Our production employees are part of a rotating position within the production plant. Primary responsibility is running the baler which produces 50 lb. bales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate baler safely and efficiently
  • Maintain preset production goals.
  • Ensure bag weights are correct and hand stack bags on finished pallet.
  • Moisture test pallets and cover with a QC sticker.
  • Accurate completion of the production paperwork for the Baler Operator.
  • Set and advance lot numbers accurately.
  • Remove out-of-spec bags and hand stack for reprocessing.
  • Cut open rejected bales for reprocessing
  • Operate forklift to load and store bags.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
