Position Summary

The role of Production Staff is integral to our manufacturing operations. The primary duty involves the operation of the baler, which is responsible for producing 50 lb. bales of product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate the baler machine.
  • Meet established production targets consistently.
  • Verify bag weights and manually stack finished bags onto pallets.
  • Conduct moisture tests on pallets and apply quality control stickers.
  • Accurately complete production documentation for the baler operation.
  • Set and manage lot numbers with precision.
  • Identify and remove non-compliant bags for reprocessing.
  • Open rejected bales for reprocessing as necessary.
  • Utilize a forklift for loading and storing bags.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: The following qualifications are essential for this position:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Essential Skills: To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification (training will be provided).
  • Successful completion of internal safety and corporate training programs.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and reliability.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of this position include:
