Powder Coater

This role is responsible for appropriately powder coating various products that go through the powder coat department.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare parts and products for coating
• Safely operate and handle equipment to apply power coat onto various parts and products
• Follow all principals and practice of powder coating application
• Deciphering tags to ensure that accurate parts and colors are being used
• Bake parts and products at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
• Will be sanding down parts with an orbital sander to remove imperfections, rust, defects, etc. Will then use various spray guns to apply the powder coat pain.
• Will need to do basic cleaning and maintenance of equipment as needed

​Qualifications:

• 1+ years of powder coating experience in an industrial or automotive shop environment
• 1+ years of experience working with wet spray guns 
• Experience in sandblasting
• Skilled in powder coating techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of different types of powder coatings and their applications
• Familiarity with different types of spraying equipment
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Able to handle general physical labor
