Job DescriptionThe Patient Services Rep reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Patient Services Rep performs customer service functions in the medical practice office. This position ensures highest level of customer service is provided to the patients and company representatives over the phone and in person. The Patient Services Rep also performs business office duties.
Responsibilities:
- Answers phone
- Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate and directs calls to nurses
- Checking and saving faxes from the pre-surgical testing folder in OUTLOOK, uploads documents into EPIC, creates folders for patient documents within our Spreadsheets.
- Retrieves test results, clearance reports for upcoming surgeries, calling offices, checking for test results in EPIC.
- Creates and maintains Spreadsheets for all cases that need Pre-surgical testing calls. (Surgical, MRI with anesthesia, Cath lab, Cardiac Diagnostic and IR)
- Maintains physician contact list, order office supplies
- Performs all aspects of daily work in a manner which contributes to and ensures an environment of patient safety and confidentiality.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
