Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures dining room is open promptly for meals.

  2. Maintains constant awareness of table availability in designated area.

  3. Always ensures that menu is properly displayed for guests.

  4. Combines tables as needed to accommodate larger parties while maintaining sufficient aisle room for Servers.

  5. Maintains cleanliness of guest waiting area.

  6. Always verifies the total number of guests in each party.  

  7. Always demonstrates a pleasant demeanor and a sincere desire to be responsive to guest’s needs.    

  8. Ensures that restaurant entrance and exit are always attended so as not to inconvenience guest(s).

  9. Always thanks guests for patronage and invites them to return.  

  10. Always checks outlet environment ensuring amenities that need attention are handled appropriately and efficiently.

  11. Always exhibits extreme care when handling dishware, glassware, silverware and food product.

  12. Accurately handles reservations and communicates the outlet’s hours of operation and encourages guest(s) to reserve a table in another outlet if booked.

  13. Refers reservations over 8 to the Manager.

  14. Ensures all guest are greeted and sat in a timely manner.


Minimum Qualifications:


1. Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

2. Must have experience in a guest contact position.

3. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Prior experience as a host/hostess preferred.

5. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

6. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
