We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent who will provide leadership in all facets of the supply chain side of the company. This position will manage various aspects of the billing process, make changes to purchase orders and update and managing information for the Supply Chain team. They will work closely with the Supply Planner in resolving purchase order issues and ensuring that our supplier communications are answered in a timely manner. The position will report to and work with the Director of Supply chain to plan and execute short term and long-term strategies to ensure continued success in a fast paced, high growth environment.


The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a fashion-oriented manufacturing environment and have knowledge of Supply Planning & ERP systems along with the ability to communicate effectively with supplier overseas.


This role is a hybrid position, requiring to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages billing process researching & resolving all billing Issues
  • Monitoring of PO shipments
  • Updates purchase order delivery dates in Netsuite in support of In Stock Reporting
  • Processing of changes to existing purchase orders
  • Ad hoc reporting for both internal and external customers
  • Maintains the Master Vendor List
  • Updates the Master Item Price List and product attributes
  • Communicates with suppliers with regard to PO's placed & resolves any issues
  • Purchase order resolution
  • Interfaces with finance to ensure purchase orders and deposits are paid in a timely manner
  • Interfaces with warehouse personnel to ensure inventory detail accuracy
  • Supports Supply Planner with purchase order management
Requirements:
  • 2 – 3 years of experience working in a supply planning, purchasing or similar environment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement successful change
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and prior experience working with supply planning systems (i.e. NetSuite, SAP, etc.) is preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. NetSuite, Grow, SourceDay etc.)
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions while working under time constraints
  • Must be detail oriented yet flexible in a fast-moving environment.
  • International procurement and shipping experience a plus
