The Communications Manager will be responsible for driving high-quality internal communications, public relations, media relations, content creation, and social media efforts. This will involve extensive writing and editing. The role will require creating, leading, and executing the internal communications strategy to enhance employee engagement and ensure team members are well-informed. Additionally, the Communications Manager will act as FFTC's lead writer for content creation and will help increase awareness and positive perceptions of the FFTC brand, as well as affiliated and subsidiary brands.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Communications Manager will provide support for public relations, media, and communications strategies across FFTC teams, as well as general support for the marketing and communications team
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute impactful internal communication strategies to promote consistent messaging and nurture a solid organizational culture. Enable information sharing among employees and stakeholders, ensuring it aligns with FFTC's mission and objectives. Responsibilities will involve editing, writing, content planning, guideline oversight, offering strategic advice, and monitoring internal communications.
- Support SVP, Communications in implementing PR strategy, including research, media monitoring, etc.
- Support the Communications Team’s internal goals, including creating newsletters, internal mass communications, employee handbooks, etc.
- Support Social Media Manager with content creation, video creation, etc.
- Lead the creation of compelling content that reflects FFTC's values and objectives across various platforms, including newsletters, articles, reports, promotional material, and social media. Collaborate with different departments to gather stories and insights that highlight our impact.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with specific internal communication experience in an in-office or hybrid setting preferred
- Exemplary writing skills with a knack for crafting clear, impactful, and inspiring messages.
- Experience writing, following, and guiding internal communication standards and goals.
- Expertise and experience with internal communications best practices.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude with the initiative to drive projects and think creatively.
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, media relations, content creation, and social media management.
- A passion for the foundation’s mission and a commitment to fostering positive community impact.
