Our manufacturing facilities are in MN, IA, WI, IN, OR and Canada.

Why we need you.

We are seeking a Consumer-Packaged Goods Sales Account Manager to expand our presence in the U.S. and Canadian markets. You'll sell private label oat products through various channels, including retail, foodservice, and export. Key responsibilities include building client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.

Who you'll be working with.

You will be an integral part of our dynamic sales team. You'll collaborate closely with finance, product development, quality and regulatory, customer service supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies. You'll also work directly with key customers, including retail buyers, customer information management systems, foodservice operators, and wholesalers, to foster strong partnerships and drive business growth.

You are a proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for sales. You have excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers. Your ability to analyze market trends and customer needs allows you to develop effective sales strategies and deliver compelling presentations. You are self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing complex projects from start to finish, all while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality. You look for opportunities to expand your network and drive business growth.

  • Understand customer requirements and develop plans to meet their needs effectively.
  • Develop a strategy to elevate our market presence, considering market conditions, major industry players, and customer bases.
  • Develop an understanding of grains and the company mills and packaging capabilities.
  • Create and deliver presentations that articulate the company's value proposition, products, and services.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, perform sales forecasting, and set performance goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external customers, and prospects.
  • Manage the entire customer relationship, resolving requests, complaints, and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Five years' experience in outside sales or a related field, preferably within the food industry.
  • Accomplished sales and sales management with a proven track record.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment, while also being self-motivated and working independently.
  • A professional presence and outstanding presentation skills.
  • Adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent people skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse base of customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to continuously prioritize tasks, anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Manage customer information management systems.
