Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and driven Marketing & Trade Show Specialist to join our team and oversee the trade show operations at UltraSource. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of trade show activities as well as contributing to our online and offline marketing efforts. This role requires a combination of creativity, strong organizational skills, and curiosity for/interest in the food processing industry.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with team to define the event requirements
  • Work with sales teams to determine product displays/demonstrations
  • Manage budgets for tradeshows and execute trade show contracts
  • Secure the venue, plan the layout and liaise with vendors (including catering and entertainment)
  • Manage registration applications for trade shows; arrange travel and accommodations logistics
  • Coordinate equipment rentals and purchases as well as required onsite labor
  • Research, order and maintain inventory of promotional giveaways and apparel
  • Maintain inventory of displays related to trade shows
  • Run and work the booth at the larger trade shows
  • Manage order lead retrieval and maintain trade show lead databases for distribution to sales representatives
  • Ensuring all health and safety standards are adhered to during events
  • Prepare and coordinate all materials needed for shipping to trade shows
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows
  • Create compelling content for our various social media platforms
  • Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to target communications to a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on follow-up with vendors; ability to manage various trade show timelines happening concurrently
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be professional and polished in appearance and presentation while representing the company externally with vendors
  • Familiarity with photo/video editing tools

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, communications, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience coordinating and staffing trade shows
  • Two to four years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects preferred.
  • Marketing experience within the manufacturing industry a big plus
  • CRM Experience, Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve problems in a group or individual setting.
  • Possess or obtain a valid passport

Physical Demands:

Must be able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to feel and manipulate, and requires the ability to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
