As a growing leader in the Durable Medical Equipment industry, Midsouth Medical, is seeking to add a CSR specialist to our team.

DME Customer Service Representative- FRONT DESK

Individuals will be trained on guidelines for home medical equipment.

Duties:

  • Greet walk in patients
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide accurate information about products, and services
  • Assist customers with order status, processing payments, and resolving issues or complaints
  • Communication between patient, provider, and insurance once and order is received
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information and documenting interactions
  • Insurance verification and obtaining prior authorizations for equipment/supplies

Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and friendly telephone voice
  • Strong listening skills to understand customer needs and concerns
  • Ability to multitask and navigate computer systems while on the phone
  • Critical thinking skills to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently
  • Diligence to accurately record information and follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing processes or procedures

Note: Previous experience in the following skills/roles is preferred and beneficial but not required: medical and/or customer service, medical billing, obtaining authorizations, DME, physician office experience and ICD10 knowledge is helpful. Training will be provided.

Salary: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $14.00/hour.
