This position will support a Department of Energy office. The mission of this office is to provide centralized infrastructure planning processes; real estate services; program management for operations of facilities, maintenance, recapitalization, disposition, and line-item construction and perform project and contract management of line-item construction and major items of equipment. 

This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can travel to Washington, DC and work onsite as needed.  Residency in the Washington, DC metro area is a mandatory requirement.  
 
**This position is contingent upon contract award. 
 
Responsibilities 
 

  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules under immediate supervision. Support the project delivery team by the collection and input of monthly cost and schedule progress,
  • Assist in analyzing project variances; and manage and report this information to appropriate levels in standard formats.
  • Assist with activities concerning budget management, cost control, schedule control, and contract control.
  • Assist in development of stage gate estimate development and budget sanction documentation through the provision of relevant project cost data and projected staffing requirements.
  • Assist in all budget system setup requirements utilizing agreed Cost or Work Breakdown Structures to assign and control costs in accordance with agreed execution strategies.
  • Prepare reports for Government use.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Govt or related field.  
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Project Scheduling using Microsoft Project or similar Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) scheduling tool required.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, SharePoint) required.
  • 3 or more years of directly related experience required.
  • Extensive experience with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) required.
  • DoD or DOE experience preferred.
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
  • This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can travel to Washington, DC and work onsite as needed.  Residency in the Washington, DC metro area is a mandatory requirement.
