Position Overview:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent numerical skills. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing routine accounting tasks, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Maintain Financial Records:
  •   Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  •   Monitor financial transactions and reports.
  •   Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  •   Process accounts receivable/payable and handle some payroll responsibilities.
  •   Ensure that receivables are collected promptly, and payables are managed efficiently.

 

Financial Reporting:

  •   Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  •   Generate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents as required.

  •   Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  •   Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and documentation for audit purposes.


  •   Liaise with the accountant for year-end tax preparation.
  •   Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of current experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  •  Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
  •  High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  •  Experience with accounting software, QuickBooks Desktop
