KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Area Manager to ensure all Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, policy and procedure is being adhered to
- Support and maintain visual merchandising standards set by HQ and the leadership team
- Maintain full organization of the back of house and front of house per standards
- Lead and inspire your team to provide exceptional customer service
- Build and cultivate client relationships by engaging them and utilizing our brand history
- Guide your team to be effective in clienteling
- Support and initiate company-driven local events and
- Share knowledge and strategies around product launches
- Display expert knowledge of the product, company history, company policy, and store/company strategies
- Adhere to the availability and scheduling needs of the business.
- Perform POS transactions accurately and efficiently and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Embraces the opportunity to attend and/or initiate events outside the four walls of our stores to showcase the brand and either operate a short-lived pop-up shop or host an event like a beach cleanup
- Achieve all personal store sales goals through implementing an unrivaled selling ceremony, and assisting in accountability conversations
- Lead by example: Your team will look up to you as their leader, so it's important that you lead by example.
- Maximize personal sales at all opportunities by wardrobe styling
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outgoing personality that can interact openly with others
- Demonstrated ability to achieve individual selling goals and metrics
- Customer Service experience required
- Demonstrated sales accountability
- Strong personal leadership skills and desire to succeed
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Skilled at delivering thoughtful and appropriate positive and developmental feedback.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of experience in retail leadership
- Strong styling capabilities with an eye for current fashion and trends
- Exemplary communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency
- Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
- Goal-oriented: the ability to stay focused on creating winning results
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
- Ability to work a flex schedule (which includes nights, weekends, and holiday availability)
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods at a time
- Ability to travel (auto/airplane/train) and attend HQ meetings

The position will be based in our store in the Stanford Shopping Center, in Palo, Alto, CA.
Outerknown assigns pay ranges to a job based on the location specific to the market median of similar jobs in accordance with 3rd party benchmark surveys, individual pay within the range can vary for several reasons including skills, capabilities, experience, and available budget.
