Maintenance Parts and Inventory Coordinator

The Maintenance Parts and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for all maintenance parts and inventory which includes activities such as cycle counting, purchasing, maintaining stock levels, inventory management, and the overall process’ continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the execution of all maintenance with the required parts and equipment as well as maintaining proper inventory to manage the financial success of the business unit. They are expected to manage the parts inventory and complete all required deliverables with high level of quality and accuracy. This role is supported by the Indirect Purchasing team and their documented processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, yearly cycle counting in coordination with ABCD part distinction and reconcile any differences found in order to maintain accurate records of all maintenance parts and equipment and their inventory levels (min / max).
2. Monitor inventory levels to ensure the maintenance of the required stock levels and subsequently place purchase orders for required maintenance parts, equipment, and supplies.
3. Monitor and track purchase orders from their lead times and deliveries and provide proper communication updates with the team.
4. Manage process to check out items for inventory and add added items to stock in addition to the maintenance of all documentation and process control.
5. Continuously improve processes for inventory management and check out process in addition to overall stocking strategy.
6. Support the planning and scheduling process by ensuring all work orders in the planning process have the needed parts, equipment, and tools to complete the job.
7. Monitor and analyze procurement and purchasing costs to identify and capture opportunities for cost savings.
8. Manage performance metrics in relation to parts inventory stocking, financial impacts, and impact on the work order planning process.
9. Communicate and escalate out on inventory levels and usage, purchasing activities, and overall strategies for critical spares to leadership team.
Minimum Requirements:
· Experience in purchasing or inventory management and control.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a bonus if bilingual in Spanish and English.
· Detailed oriented with great organizational skills to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities and deadlines.
