POSITION SUMMARY

Attend to and respond to guest maintenance requests promptly. Engage with guests to resolve any maintenance concerns effectively. Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper lubrication. Perform visual inspections of tools and machinery. Carry necessary equipment, including tools and communication devices. Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utilities. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary. Communicate daily activities and any issues encountered to other shifts using established communication protocols.

Demonstrate foundational knowledge or the ability to learn in various areas, including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Execute surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various equipment, including plumbing and electrical components. Program televisions and manage engineering-related inventory tasks. Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures before commencing any maintenance work. Maintain both interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Follow all company policies regarding safety and security; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and accidents; complete required safety training; and store flammable materials appropriately. Ensure a professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipating their service needs and assisting individuals with disabilities. Uphold quality standards and foster positive relationships with colleagues, supporting team objectives and addressing concerns effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Some background in general maintenance and surface preparation.

Experience in hotel maintenance is advantageous.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification: Valid Driver's License.
