Primary Responsibilities

The Director of Programs spearheads Harvest Home’s programs ensuring program effectiveness by creating vision, developing plans, and providing oversight of goals, objectives, and outcomes with the ability to confidently lead a diverse team to collaboratively serve women in need.


Staff Supervision, Management, and Development:   

  • Oversee Residential Programs, Alumnae Program & Emotional Wellbeing therapy program
  • Ensure team is fully staffed—including involvement in hiring and onboarding.
  • Plan and coordinate quarterly program team development days and work with Leadership Team to plan all-team training throughout the year.
  • Lead Trauma and Resiliency Informed Care strategy to ensure program efficacy.
  • Expand MSW/MFT internship program including managing relationships with university graduate programs.


Programming:  

  • Develop and manage partnerships with agencies and organizations to provide services/resources for residents and alumnae and manage the class/group calendar for residential programs.
  • Manage client database and program evaluation plan to gather data related to client and program outcome measures.
  • Oversee program budget ensuring financial stewardship for all programs.
  • Work with the Outreach and Engagement Manager to develop the volunteer program and identify volunteer opportunities for the residential and alumnae programs.
  • Work with the Alumnae Case Manager to further develop Harvest Home’s alumnae program.
  • Work with the Program Team to ensure program plan and organizational policies are being implemented with fidelity.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Residential Life Team to ensure that each facility is fully resourced and operational.
  • Collaborate with staff to hold clients accountable to program expectations while utilizing a restorative, trauma-informed, and grace-filled approach. Collaborate with program managers to deliver corrective action as necessary when escalated, including transition from the program. 

  

Leadership Team and Governance   

  • Work closely with the Executive Director actively communicating program successes and challenges.
  • Work with Leadership Team and Board of Directors to develop strategic objectives for Harvest Home’s programs, implement objectives and measure performance and impact.
  • Develop and maintain systems, policies, and processes to achieve outcome goals.
  • Regularly evaluate programming to identify gaps and opportunities to best resource client needs and ensure program effectiveness.
  • Prepare monthly board reports and participate in board meetings, as requested.
  • Support community outreach, attending networking events and speaking engagements as needed.
  • Participate in organizational fundraising efforts (events, major donor outreach, grant writing) as requested

Qualifications  

  • Strong understanding of and experience with the following: maternal & infant health, homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, and domestic violence
  • An understanding of and experience working within a Trauma and Resiliency Informed Care approach
  • Ability to confidently lead a diverse team to collaboratively serve women in need
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities
  • Strong logistical and administrative skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving acumen
  • Tech-savvy, ability to easily learn computer software & systems


Preferred Experience  

  • BA required, Master's degree in social work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or Public Health (MPH) preferred
  • 7+ years working experience in non-profit sector or social services
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles and supervising personnel
  • Please note this is not a direct service role, but the ideal candidate would have a comprehensive understanding of direct services
