Job Summary:

As the Accounting Director at Wan Bridge, you will lead the oversight of the entire accounting department, encompassing construction accounting, property accounting, and corporate accounting. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth within the department.
  1. Policy and Procedure Development:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across all departments.
    • Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reconciliations.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular review and analysis, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors.
  1. Process Improvement and Efficiency:
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency in accounting operations.
    • Work closely with the China team to streamline processes and ensure consistency across international operations.
  1. Strategic Financial Guidance:
    • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and department heads, supporting decision-making and driving financial performance.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to key stakeholders as needed.
  1. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting principles, staying updated on changes and ensuring adherence across the organization.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory issues or concerns.
  1. Industry Trends and Best Practices:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance, implementing changes as necessary to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
    • Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Act as a liaison between the accounting department and other departments within the organization, addressing any accounting-related concerns or requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 4 years of proven experience in accounting leadership roles.

  • Strong understanding of property accounting and real estate finance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Functions:

  • Typical work schedule, Monday through Friday, and after hours as requested.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device.
  • Excellent organization, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time
