Environment: Our client is a large Medical Device manufacturer seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team and support multiple upcoming projects from a design and sustaining standpoint. This person should have previous experience working in a cross functional environment while also being self sufficient with tasks being complete.

Background: The day-to-day responsibilities of this role encompass a wide range of design inputs, both in the upstream and downstream processes. This engineer will support the new product development team by generating application-specific qualification data and ensuring that all new products meet the functional requirements for their intended use. This individual should come from a Med Device background with 8+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Our client has multiple projects that are ongoing and upcoming where they will need additional support. There are 7 major pieces of the device being developed, and this individual will lead a subset of this project relating to the design of stainless steel parts. This will include the design and development of stainless-steel enclosures, bearing's, controls, and consumable products. This individual should have a strong Solidworks background as well as mechanical writing experience. They will also need to have prior Med Device design control experience. Previous IQ OQ PQ experience is highly preferred for this role but not required to be successful.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team of engineers
  • Work with outside engineering vendors and manufacturers
  • Present system design ideas to a large team
  • Handle project management activities such as scheduling, leading and mentoring team members, and guiding tactical and strategic decisions for the business
Required:
  • 8+ years of Medical device mechanical design experience
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Solidworks
  • Experience designing stainless steel parts
  • Mechanical writing experience
  • Med device design control experience
  • Injection molding experience

  • IQ OQ PQ experience
  • Experience designing drivetrains in a Medical Device
