Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Design Engineer to join our Innovation team in Logan, UT. As part of our Bioproduction Group, you will have the opportunity to support the developers and manufacturers of biological-based therapeutics and vaccines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process and product innovation by adapting both existing and novel single-use technologies.
  • Support new product development pipeline through collaboration with the Innovation team and other R&D teams to generate new product ideas and evaluate new technologies for feasibility and application into bioprocess workflows.
  • Drive activities, including hands-on and delegated testing, writing test result reporting, presentations, and interpretation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (biological, biomedical, bioprocess, biotechnology, or chemical) with 3 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Laboratory research or biotechnology process development experience.
  • Knowledge of general bioprocess unit operations (cell culture, microbial fermentation, harvest & recovery) and cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
  • Proficiency in automation and instrumentation, including Delta-V, PLC, PAC based bioreactor control systems, and supporting unit operations.
