Job Description: Visual Communications Director

The Visual Communications Director serves as Center for Christian Virtue’s lead graphic designer. A creative and compelling communicator, the Visual Communications Director has a keen understanding of design trends, and how to effectively convey the heart of CCV’s mission.

 

The role oversees the Multimedia Coordinator and collaborates with the CCV team to create graphics, printed marketing, and other branded design. The Visual Communications Director also works with the team to create high quality videos, podcasts, web content photographs, emails, and event materials.

 

Reports to:                 Communications Director 

Hours:                         Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Remote on Fridays

Compensation:          Full-time, Salaried/Exempt

Location:                    Columbus, Ohio

Benefits:                      PTO (Paid Time Off), 10 Paid Holidays, Monthly Cell phone allotment, mileage, Health Insurance (CCV covers 75% of

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Communications Director to develop and implement a cohesive visual communications strategy, including developing consistent branding for CCV’s projects and legislative efforts, and ensuring visual continuity amongst CCV’s divisions: Policy, Advancement, Church Ambassador Network, Ohio Christian Education Network, and Christian Business Partnership.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement and Policy teams and other stakeholders to create graphics for print and digital campaigns.
  • Identify and implement ways to evolve and advance the branding of CCV and it’s divisions, as well as opportunities to develop multimedia marketing campaigns for each.
  • Manage relationships with printing vendors and serve as the primary point of contact with them to produce materials.
  • Maintain inventory of CCV marketing materials and stationery.
  • Design and order CCV branded promotional items for staff use and event giveaways.
  • In coordination with the Events team, create branding for CCV events for lawmakers, stakeholders, and donors.
  • Other duties as directed by the Senior Communications Director and CCV Leadership

 

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, thoroughly, and accurately across digital and print formats.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to operate on a schedule, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellence, without immediate or constant supervision.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Character and Spiritual

  • Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
  • Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s mission and position on Core Issues.
  • Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
  • Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships.
