The Street Outreach Program (SOP) Outreach Coordinator is responsible for implementation and ongoing operations for the Street Outreach & Homeless Youth Program. As the Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination as well as the clinical and administrative supervision to the staff. Additionally, you will monitor the program’s budget and research, as well as work to promote development of the program community outreach and client assessment of homeless youth. This is an outreach position requiring work on the street and in the community.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining a flexible schedule, as this role requires varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure that staff is firmly committed to utilizing the Positive Youth Development approach.
  • Assist the Program Manager with ensuring that the Federal Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) grant objectives and goals are carried out, while ensuring compliance with all FYSB rules and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two years of experience working with youth and families.
  • Valid Ohio LSW preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills including knowledge of systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions and substance abuse therapy.
  • Experience in public relations, community development and both clinical and administrative supervision preferred.
  • Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with
  • diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities
