Summary

The Environmental Testing Technician is responsible for performing testing and determining issues of Underground Storage Tank (UST) equipment designed to reduce the chance of a release of petroleum into the environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct periodic testing and evaluation of UST components
  • Carry out the testing of all engineered equipment including spill buckets, overfills devices, tanks and lines, sumps, leak detectors, and cathodic protection
  • Fill out completed test forms and submit to supervisor
  • Operate specific testing equipment according to EPA guidelines
  • Maintain company vehicles
  • Use mobile data tablets
  • Perform monthly/annual walk-throughs as assigned


Competencies:

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED
  • Experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education
  • Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret and understand necessary training manuals.
  • Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen
