Position Summary

The Environmental Compliance Technician is tasked with conducting assessments and identifying issues related to Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems aimed at minimizing the risk of petroleum releases into the environment.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing routine assessments and evaluations of UST components
  • Executing tests on all engineered systems including spill containment, overfill prevention devices, tanks and pipelines, sumps, leak detection systems, and cathodic protection
  • Completing test documentation and submitting it to the supervisor
  • Utilizing specific testing equipment in accordance with EPA regulations
  • Maintaining company vehicles
  • Employing mobile data tablets for data collection
  • Conducting monthly and annual inspections as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a related field or equivalent education in college or vocational training
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret necessary training manuals
  • Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
