Position Summary: The Social Media Star represents the Family Express brand, is driven, and a detail-oriented content creator who produce high-quality outputs for our business. The content creator will update existing material, generate novel work, and identify new ways to reach our communities. This position will focus on appealing to customers interests by creating engaging material utilizing current social media trends to maximize consumer engagement.

General Purpose: To provide our customers with total satisfaction. To serve our community through volunteerism and produce a return on assets which will assure the future prosperity of our employees and our company. To be an ambassador of our “Living Brand” by building relationships with our customers.

Role Qualifications:

  • Ability to story tell the Family Express purpose of ‘Building Relationships’ through various social media platforms
  • Strong copywriting, social media, and video productions skills with high degree of creativity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and products and strong design software experience (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Active within the social web and have significant equity in X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy
  • Ability to visit various Family Express sites to source and film content

Position Responsibilities:

  • Builds Relationships
  • Foster the Culture and promotes the Living Brand
  • Serves as Product Brand Advocate
  • Assists in creating a comprehensive social media strategy to define existing programs and new programs that use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership, and traffic across all Family Express brands.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing community outreach programs and initiatives to foster positive relationships and engagement with local communities.
  • Create various forms of social media content—text captions, videos, and images—suitable for the various social media platforms.
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to dive interesting and relevant content.
  • Implement creativity, engagement, and collaboration within social media
  • Responsible for all types of data analysis for assigned duties to better understand the state of the business, formulate strategy and tactics, and measure success / verify category plan.
  • Be able to effectively and professionally interact with the community, industry, customers, vendors, and any other external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrating ability to follow-through with project initiatives in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Individual must be able to enhance communication with a genuine response in regard to all Family Express Brands through all social media venues.
  • Manages the internal social media platform “Community” to highlight internal success stories
  • Assists the Human Resources team with recruitment efforts
  • All other duties as assigned
