We are looking for a reliable Accounting Clerk to perform tasks that will help us process payables, receivables, JE’s, reporting, analysis, and various other duties as assigned by Leadership. The Accounting Clerk will perform various routine accounting functions under general supervision and per standard company procedures. In addition, the successful incumbent will show proficiency in accounting methods and adherence to GAAP standards with attention to accuracy, detail and timeliness. As an Accounting Clerk, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. A high degree of organizational ability is essential to maintain entries and records for several locations. Experience in web-based applications such as SharePoint, QuickBooks Online, and Smart Sheets is preferred since you will be using technology to expedite your work, a degree of computer knowledge is required.

Requirements:

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Various data entry and verification in systems

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and customers both internal and external

• Process General Ledger Journal Entries

• Various Accounting Analysis reports

• Various duties related to A/R and A/P as assigned by Accounting Manager, Controller, or CFO including but not limited to:

o Receiving and applying weekly payments

o Processing Invoices for A/R and entering Bills for A/P

o Accounts Payable reporting and analysis monthly

o Maintain all 1099 information for end-of-year reporting

• Other special projects, when assigned


Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a staff accountant role or general accounting experience

• Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines

• Ability to adapt to a high-volume environment with minimal supervision

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)

• Good organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• High School Degree Required


Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office including Excel

• Working knowledge of Quick Books

• BA/BS or higher in business preferred


Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds

• This position requires considerable sitting and typing.

• Extensive computer work

• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching to handle/file documents

• Frequent use of telephone, copy machine, printer, and fax

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Ability to move inside or outside of the office space to access file cabinets, copy machines
