POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain, The Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting future demand for all SKUs across the Solve portfolio of Brands.  The Demand Planner will have a commitment to continuous improvement, and in doing so will support the Monthly SIOP planning processes.  This position will analyze historical sales data, current market trends and other relevant factors to predict future demand accurately, and utilize their strong communication skills to make appropriate planning recommendations to company leadership to help optimize inventory levels and production schedules, to meet customer needs efficiently all while minimizing costs. The Demand Planner will collaborates closely with the Sales, Purchasing, Sourcing, and Operations teams to gather relevant data, insights, and feedback, to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and various business functions, to allow for effective decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement and Sourcing departments to collect relevant market data to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment based on accurate demand forecasts  
  • Support the SIOP process by developing pre-meeting data and metrics to ensure a productive monthly process
  • Analyze demand patterns and variances to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on the data analysis
  • Work with the Procurement and Operations teams to monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, as well as managing any supply constraints to mitigate risk and delivery
  • Prepare and present reports on demand planning metrics to Leadership
  • Communicate forecast projections to Supply Chain Leadership to communicate with our global factories for production needs, to ensure our many factories maintain on-hand inventories at their warehouses to offer shorter lead times
  • Partner with the IT Department to identify and implement new ordering and demand planning software and tools
  • Engage with customers to understand their forecast, and be able to incorporate their projected targeted goals into our demand planning process
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
  • 3+ years of demand planning experience
  • Experience having worked in a distribution, industrial, or product manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes including production planning, procurement, and logistics
  • Experience and familiarity with ERP systems and Power BI
