Job Summary: Immersive Concepts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced an AV Technician to join our team at a government facility in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced audiovisual systems in a live environment. This role requires a strong technical background, customer communication, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently in a high-demand environment.


Key Responsibilities:

· Installation & Setup:

o Install, configure, and test AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.

o Ensure all AV systems are set up according to specifications and client requirements.

· Live Event & Production Support:

o Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment for live events and productions, including camera, audio and video equipment.

o Provide real-time technical support during events to ensure seamless execution.

o Coordinate with on-site clients, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless project execution.

· Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

o Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.

o Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.

· Compliance & Security:

o Adhere to government regulations and security protocols related to AV systems and installations.

o Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.


Qualifications:

· Education & Experience:

o Minimum of 3 years of experience in AV technology and system integration, preferably in a government or corporate setting.

o 1-2 years experience with live productions preferred.

o CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification is a plus.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in the installation and operation of AV systems, including Vaddio, Shure, Aurora AV over IP, QSYS and Poly Conferencing systems.

o Strong understanding of network infrastructure and AV over IP.

o Experience with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex.

· Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

· Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
