Job Summary:

The AV System Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating all IP and analog audio/visual equipment at Seminole Gaming properties. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing basic network administration support, and collaborating with the Business Analyst, System and Network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's AV environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. They will be proactive, have a positive demeanor, and be willing to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and optimize IP AV devices, including hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and install/re-install cable as necessary
  • Provide basic network administration support, including VLAN creation
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst, System and Network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's AV environment
  • Assist in ensuring that customer requests via the ticketing system are managed to closure
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and/or audio & video shorts when necessary
  • Maintain all LED and LCD displays on property
  • Control all volume levels and video content for the property, assist local entertainers with sound before and after their scheduled performance time when needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area as directed
  • Perform administrative tasks as may be required by local and corporate policy
  • Manage replacement spares through RMA programs to insure maximum hardware availability and minimum down time related to maintenance issues
  • Perform a variety of tasks as required by sister properties

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in computer hardware support and maintenance or AV systems support and maintenance required
  • Must possess or acquire A+ certification in the first 12 months of employment
  • Experience with Amino, Digital encoders, Direct TV, Digital audio equipment, Triple Play. Triple Sign, Q-SYS, Crestron, Poppulo/FWI is a plus
  • Technical knowledge of Windows 2010/2011 and Apple products
  • Knowledge of current protocols TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP and DNS required
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting network AV devices
  • Experience installing wall mounted TVs in a production environment
  • Experience working with the basics of Cisco switches; the ability to configure a VLAN
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills along with strong time management and interpersonal skills required
  • Must possess a positive demeanor and work well in a team environment

Work Environment:

The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
