We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Part-Time IT Equipment Manager in our Independence, Ohio office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the shipping and receiving of IT equipment, ensuring its functionality, and supporting our remote workforce deployment.

This role is well-suited for a student seeking entry level employment outside the foodservice industry, offering the opportunity for professional development within a rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and sign-for FedEx and UPS packages, documenting the condition of received equipment promptly.
  • Confirm functionality of equipment by setting it up and conducting basic tests.
  • Clean and sort equipment shipments into inventory in preparation for remote deployment.
  • Package computers and accessories into shipments for remote deployment.
  • Coordinate the initial setup of new equipment including basic windows and app installation.
  • Print FedEx shipping labels, schedule pickups and manager shipping logistics.
  • Keep the shipping area and IT office organized and clear by disposing of boxes and trash weekly. 

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail is crucial for documenting and maintaining equipment condition.
  • Ability to document problems and escalate issues as needed.
  • Capability to work effectively and efficiently in a mostly unsupervised capacity.

Work Schedule:

This is an in-office position with flexibility. The ideal candidate will schedule two four-hour shifts during the office hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Additionally, they can set their own schedule for the remaining hours, up to a total of 32 hours weekly.

Work Environment:

Our Independence office provides a quiet and clean workspace. The IT Equipment Manager will have a designated workspace in the IT office as well as the shipping hall.
