OVERVIEW

The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting functions primarily for the Corporate entity and but also across Cadrex in some cases. A key part of the responsibility involves cash management support across the organization. In addition, this role has responsibility for assisting in the preparation of Corporate entity financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cash Management Support

  • Assist in maintaining banking records related to ZBA transactions
  • Regularly review enterprise-wide AR for past due customer payments and work with site finance for resolution
  • Weekly review of enterprise-wide AP, recommend disbursements. Monitor and support the corporate fuel and credit card programs

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of Corporate entity monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Assist in the compilation and review of addbacks across Cadrex
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of other financial data

General Ledger

  • Maintain and update Corporate general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and/or post Corporate journal entries

Reconciliations

  • Perform Corporate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Reconcile Corporate bank statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Review consolidated fixed assets for discrepancies across Cadrex
  • Assist with annual ASC 842 reconciliation across Cadrex

Accounts Payable

  • Process Corporate accounts payable transactions
  • Prepare and submit weekly Corporate payments
  • Prepare and submit annual 1099s

Audit and Compliance

  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Process Improvement

  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist with creating department policies and procedures

Other

  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years’ experience in finance/accounting required
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • ERP and Microsoft Office applications experience


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
