Job Title: Regional Director of Operations

As a key leader at Pactiv Evergreen, you will be responsible for leading a team of valued employees operating in multiple warehouse/distribution facilities. Your primary goal will be to develop and manage strategic initiatives that align with the company's 5-year Logistics Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of talented warehouse professionals in the successful accomplishment of regional logistics and business performance goals.
  • Build a best-in-class safety culture through employee engagement, communications, standard procedures, training, and trust.
  • Improve tactical execution of daily business plans to meet cost and service requirements measured through standard key performance indicators.
  • Create a culture of skills development, organizational alignment, and employee participation.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Drive warehouse productivity and process improvements to achieve cost savings.
  • Accountable for regional achievement of KPI results.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate the impact of volume surges and capacity constraints.
  • Implement network optimization and product deployment plans.
  • Project ownership, develop, and drive key network-wide initiatives.
  • Supply Chain cross-functional collaboration and engagement.
  • Develop leadership teams at each regional facility.
  • Work with site Operations Managers to review, understand, and manage site financials.
  • Ensure safety in the workspace by conducting safety audits and safety observations, documenting and addressing root causes of incidents and near misses, and encouraging a safety-oriented culture throughout the facility.
  • Point of escalation for any problems, issues, or adjustments as required to complete the operations plan and ensure on-time customer shipments.
  • Liaison to senior leadership, manufacturing facilities, and corporate support staff.
  • Manage budget and forecast ownership for the region.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of working experience.
  • Demonstrated depth of supply chain and logistics knowledge.
  • Demonstrated breadth of job experience in progressive levels of large warehouse management.
  • Demonstrated operational process improvement focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategies based on clear objectives aligned with actionable goals.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptionally good leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and lead a large operation.
  • Demonstrate ability to influence business leadership and executives.
  • Proven success in improving operational KPIs and performance.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); JDA (Red Prairie) a plus.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP); SAP a plus.
  • Self-directed and demonstrates the ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or potential issues.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
  • System technology and data technology experience a plus.
  • Excellent problem identification and follow-through to issue resolution.
