Job Description

Turner & Townsend are looking for highly skilled and motivated Program Director who will lead a talented team in the development of large complex data center projects throughout the US. The Program Director will be based out of Seattle and lead both Seattle based and remote teams at DC sites. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career as a Program Manager working on multi-site construction logistics and coordination.
  • Experience running a comprehensive program management office (PMO). 
  • Candidate must demonstrate they can work with and manage multiple stakeholders across all construction/design and engineering disciplines.
  • Candidate must have extensive knowledge working on major construction programs, collaborating with project management, cost and commercial management, and controls teams.
  • Support the day-to-day operational management duties of the PM team. As part of the leadership team, you will be required to support the achievement of our strategic goals.
  • Act as or support the commissions leads on our programs including managing client relations and commercial contractual arrangements.
  • Support the development of program processes and systems that enable efficient data collection, management, and benchmarking.
  • Lead and motivates others to deliver excellent client service.
  • Lead the set-up, delivery and close out in accordance with the requirements of the role.
  • Support business development activities with new and existing clients, including bid writing.
  • Understanding, identifying, and developing cross-divisional ideas into value opportunities.

Demonstrate project experience with the following:

  • Running Major Programs $250M and above.
  • Coordinating all stakeholders.
  • Managing program controls, field operations, and sub consultants.
  • Review owner processes and reporting.
  • Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and scope changes.
  • Understanding of Owner’s Operations and best practices.
  • Understanding of Safety Programs (Health, Safety, and Emergency Response).
  • Understanding the monitoring and Inspection of Construction and Project Coordination.
  • Completing comprehensive Monthly Reports to client.
Qualifications

  • Proven track record in program management, with extensive experience in overseeing large-scale data center, mission critical, or highly technical projects.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and a full program management office (PMO).
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a focus on driving the team to achieve its goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering value to clients.
  • Attention to detail in service delivery, communications, and ways of working with others.
  • Excellent analytic and communication skills.
  • Sound financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commercial awareness including the ability to articulate business decisions within the wider context and market trends.
  • Confident leading alone and working as part of a team, with ability to be flexible according to the needs of the program.
  • A desire to grow and develop roles into more senior opportunities.
  • Business development experience, in the context of identifying opportunities with existing as well as new clients.
  • Competent user of data management software (for example Excel) and systems for data cleansing, management, analytics, and quality assurance.
  • Possess an approach to working that covers delivery of tasks and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Leadership experience in the conception, development and implementation of large programs would be beneficial.


Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $170K-$225K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
