Job Summary
Join our team as a Director of Operations who will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of operations, including personnel management, process improvement, financial management, and communication with stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.
Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Establishing Metrics and Guidelines:
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate the company's efficiency and effectiveness.
Identifies opportunities for improvement based on these metrics.
Business Procedure Analysis:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates existing business procedures.
Identifies areas where policies and procedures can be improved to enhance day-to-day operations.
Implementing Policies and Procedures:
Implements new policies and procedures aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Financial Management:
Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales in each division to achieve financial objectives.
Ensures that financial goals set by departmental and company leadership are met.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicates new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and staff.
Coordinates efforts among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to ensure smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Preferred: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Five (5) years of relevant experience in the management.
Proficient knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and basic clinical procedures.
Bilingual skills (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required
Experience in using electronic medical records like ECW.
Knowledge of health systems operations, health policy, and/or health care contracting
Expert team management and facilitation skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
A high degree of professionalism and competency in dealing with a variety of individuals
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams to achieve outcomes as well as form and maintain collaborative relationships
Ability to independently organize and prioritize work
Skilled in conflict management
Ability to identify data needed for both assessment and decision-making purposes
Ability to deploy appropriate data sources, analysis methods, and effective communication of analytical results
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate population health programs
Demonstrated project and portfolio management skills
Must be willing to travel for meetings
Articulates and presents data, information, and ideas in a clear and concise manner
