Position: Electrical Engineer - Wire Harness Specialist
Location: Wellington, Kansas

We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer with specialized experience in wire harness design and manufacturing to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer - Wire Harness Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical wire harness systems for various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with specific experience in wire harness design, layout, and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
Design wire harness systems for new and existing products.
Create detailed schematics and drawings using Arcadia software.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate harnesses into larger systems.
2. Testing and Validation:
Develop testing protocols to ensure the reliability and performance of wire harnesses.
Conduct tests and analyze data to validate designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wire harness performance.
3. Production Support:
Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during production.
Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure high standards.
Work with suppliers to source components and materials.
4. Project Management:
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
5. Compliance and Standards:
Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Keep up to date with advancements in wire harness technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in wire harness design and development.
· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
· Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
· Experience with testing and validation processes.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
· Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Experience with automotive or aerospace wire harness systems.
· Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
