Job DescriptionJob Description

Our employment litigation law firm seeks an experienced bilingual legal assistant for in-office work. Responsibilities will include calendaring deadlines, saving and organizing digital and paper materials, preparing correspondence, and coordinating events such as hearings, depositions, and meetings. You also will assist with preparing legal documents and submissions and perform other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. We have a fairly quiet 2-lawyer office but work well together. Compensation:

$49,000+ yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly
  • Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
  • Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence by answering phone calls and emails, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and informing the team of upcoming deadlines
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
  • Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
  • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position
  • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products
  • Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Must be proficient with Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel, and able to use Mac computer
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
